Imagine, A Center for Coping with Loss seeks 10 individuals for our October 19-22, 2018 volunteer facilitator training session. Imagine peer support groups are the main source of support for grieving children and families in Union County and beyond. Groups are facilitated by trained adult volunteers who attend a 32-hour training and quarterly continuing education programs.
Each year on or around September 11th, Cantor Fitzgerald and its affiliates, BGC Partners and GFI Group, in conjunction with the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund, commemorate their 658 friends and colleagues and 61 Eurobrokers employees who perished on September 11, 2001, by distributing 100% of their global revenues on Charity Day to the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund and selected charities around the world.
Bullying is a challenge for many students but grieving children and youth are more likely to be bullied or become a bully. The "Bullies to Buddies" method fosters resilience by teaching students how to respond to verbal aggression.
Imagine has received a grant of $25,000 from the Merck Foundation for the expansion of their bereavement support programs.
Imagine peer support groups are available for New Jersey children and families coping with loss due to death or illness. Support groups are facilitated by trained adult volunteers who attend a 4-day training and ongoing continuing education programs.

Imagine Adult Volunteer Facilitators and Teen Volunteer Facilitators were the recipients this year of the New Jersey State Governor’s Jefferson Award in the Adult Volunteer Group Award category and the Youth Volunteer Group Award category.

Imagine, a Center for Coping with Loss is pleased to announce Alan Lieber, President of Overlook Medical Center, part of Atlantic Health System, has joined the Imagine Leadership Council, comprised of business and community leaders, both locally and nationally, who are willing to serve as passionate advocates on behalf of grieving children and teens.
This conference will address the many issues children and families deal with when experiencing a trauma. Please join researchers and practitioners in the field for an invigorating, educational day.
