Jeffrey S. Peris Joins Board of Trustees of Imagine
Imagine, A Center for Coping with Loss, a grief support center for children and families, welcomes Jeffrey S. Peris to its Board of Trustees. Mr. Peris has extensive board experience, having held prominent leadership roles following a distinguished management career with leading pharmaceutical/healthcare companies. He currently acts as an executive advisor, enhancing both individual and organizational performance in his work with clients.
Prior to consulting, Mr. Peris served as Chief Learning Officer for the Wyeth Corporate Learning Center, Vice President of Human Resources & Communications for Abbott Laboratories, and Vice President of Human Resources for Merck & Company.
Mr. Peris has an Sc.D., in Biostatistics/Epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh, an M.Sc. in Hygiene, Biostatistics/Epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh, an M.B.A. from Rutgers University, and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Allied Healthcare International, and on the Boards of Overlook Hospital and several non-profit organizations. He is married with 3 children, 8 grandchildren and 2 grand puppies.

Imagine, A Center for Coping with Loss, a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization, provides year-round grief support for children and young adults using a peer-support group model. Trained adult volunteers and professionals provide children and teens with comfort and the tools needed to process grief resulting from death or life-altering illness. In addition to providing grief support at its two centers in Mountainside and Newark, Imagine provides education in the community, leading workshops and providing on-site support in schools and workplaces where traumatic loss has occurred. Groups, which meet on weeknights, serve children and adults from more than 55 New Jersey towns.
